Fast forward a couple of years while Roger and Jay were having a conversation about the next steps for HCM at a local Cracker Barrel restaurant they bumped into a close friend of Jay’s, outfitter, Donny Carr. A conversation about youth hunts, ministry and the introduction of Randy Matthews happened nearly simultaneously. This was the birth of the youth hunts at HCM back in 2005.
Through the years we’ve watched God do some AMAZING things in the lives of young hunters and their fathers. Through this and other things we’ve sensed God guiding us to take HCM to another level, to expand the ministry.
Some of the expansion will include expanding our activities to include horseback riding, fly fishing, retreats, camping trips and a host of other activities – all of which are designed to bring us all closer to Him.
Additionally, over the past few years we have had some other companies such as Bass Pro Shops, Wal-Mart, the Colorado State Parks and Wildlife, … express an interest in assisting us with these hunts – be on the lookout for this to happen as well.
